Checkride Readiness
With the Alaska Pilot Experience, you may stay for a minimum of 1 week, for up to 6 weeks! 12 hours of flight time a week, with access to aircraft and instructors. Work towards a checkride, or simply get some Alaska time (arctic flying, mountain navigation, gravel strips, float flying, and more!).
You will stay with us at the Fly Inn, right at our airport (PAMR). Lodging will be complimentary during the winter months, and discounted during the summer. Enjoy the convenience of being a short walk to the planes!
We can help you with flight instruction towards your next rating, or show you the ropes on the Last Frontier! Whatever your goal is- we'll tailor it to your needs. Our approach is unique in flight training but common among professional aviators in Alaska. We're driven to provide challenges focused on critical thinking and practical skills in a rugged environment.

If your goal is to complete a checkride, please let us know ahead of time so we can make every reasonable effort to schedule one! We will help you get as close to checkride readiness as possible, but please understand that readiness is ultimately outside of our control.
PRICE
The cost of this program is $3,700/week during the summer months. During the off season it is $3,500 for the first week, and $3000/week for any additional weeks booked.
The summer pricing structure is based off of 12 hours a week in a Cessna 172, and $100/night for the room (3000/12 = $250/dual instruction.) In the off season, the lodging is $70/night during the initial week, and free every week thereafter.
If you are interested in flying a different aircraft such as a multi-engine, floatplane, or Cessna 150, the weekly cost remains the same, we will simply pro rate the price of the aircraft rental.
